Never use SOS pads or other abrasive metal cleaners, which oxidize leaving rust stains on the surface.
Do not use any toilet bowl cleaner or bathroom cleanser having high PH content. The splash from this type of cleaner will leave brown spots on the stainless surfaces, which appears exactly like rust, and are very hard to remove.
